Job summary

A recruitment agency in Crewe is seeking a temporary Housing Support Worker to provide support to clients in the community. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, carry out client needs assessments, and assist tenants with welfare rights and budgeting. A proven track record in providing guidance to clients is essential, along with basic IT knowledge and familiarity with housing management. Priority will be given to candidates available for immediate start.

Qualifications

  • Must undergo an Enhanced DBS Check.
  • Proven track record in client support required.

Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for a temporary Housing Support Worker.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be providing support to clients in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a small team
  • Carrying out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
  • Supporting tenants through individual resettlement support plans
  • Ensuring clients comply with their tenancy agreement
  • Supporting clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training
  • Liaising with all relevant housing agencies to find suitable move on accommodation for tenants
  • Developing links with the local community
  • Ensuring communication systems are accurately maintained and up-to-date
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety incident and accident records
  • Working within agreed organisation policies and procedures
Requirements for the role
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Must have a proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic IT suitable for an office environment
  • Knowledge of basic housing management tasks, i.e. rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management.

Candidates available for an immediate start will be given priority.
