Support Officer - Part time 3 days per week
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
Godalming

Temporary contract 3-6 months

Responsibilities
  • Assist housing officers in preventing homelessness and supporting clients experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Help clients find and move into suitable, affordable housing.
  • Create and update housing plans based on client needs.
  • Support clients in applying for supported housing and guide them through the process.
  • Provide follow-up support to help clients maintain their tenancy.
  • Ensure eligible clients are registered on the housing register
  • Help clients access benefits, set up utilities, and manage rent payments.
  • Offer basic financial advice and signpost to specialist services if needed.
  • Monitor clients wellbeing and encourage them to seek support when necessary.
  • Refer safeguarding concerns to the appropriate agencies.
  • Conduct home visits to check on clients and identify any issues.
  • Keep accurate records of client interactions and progress.
  • Track and report on caseload statistics.

On average the support officer will be expected to carry out approximately 2-3 home visits per week.

The job role will be 50% admin based, 30% client interaction and 20% stats reporting.
