Job summary

A housing support organization in Birmingham is seeking a Housing Support Assistant to manage and supervise supported housing services. You will assist with tenancy management, ensure compliance with policies, and build relationships with customers and stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have experience in tenancy services and a valid UK driving licence. Qualifications

  • Previous experience delivering tenancy services.
  • Experience working to deadlines and prioritizing workload.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Literacy and numeracy to the equivalent of Grade C English and Maths GCSE.
  • NVQ2 or equivalent in relevant area.
  • Ability to extract and interrogate data.
  • Some experience in the use of housing management systems is desirable.
  • This role will involve driving on company business; a valid UK driving licence is required.

  • Provide onsite management and supervision of the supported housing service.
  • Assist with tenancy and voids management.
  • Support compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement and availability of supplies.
  • Record and update relevant data.
  • Contribute to special projects and change programmes.

Job description
The role of Housing Support Assistant will include :
  • Providing onsite management and supervision of the supported housing service ensuring the delivery of an effective, enhanced, housing management service
  • Assisting with tenancy and voids management and maintaining occupancy levels
  • Supporting and promoting compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and internal and external key stakeholders
  • Managing the procurement and availability of supplies, furniture, and equipment
  • Recording and updating relevant data, maintaining effective filing systems
  • Contributing to special projects and change programmes as appropriate
Skills and experiences :
  • Previous experience delivering tenancy services
  • Experience working to deadlines and prioritising workload
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Literacy and numeracy to the equivalent of Grade C English and Maths GCSE
  • NVQ2 or equivalent in relevant area
  • Ability to extract and interrogate data

  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
