Overview

Positions: 1 x full-time 40 hours per week

Derventio Housing Trust is at the forefront of supported housing solutions. As part of the team, you will make a tangible difference to people’s lives. Playing a key role in the support and resettlement of people, covering a wide variety of tasks that contribute to fixing broken lives.

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal calmly with people who may present with challenging behaviour. The tasks that form a large part of this role require exceptional attention to detail, particularly when completing property inspections, and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

We expect that you have the ability to problem solve, and the necessary skills required to learn basic maintenance-related tasks to understand what issues may arise within the property environment, and be able to answer property maintenance queries from the residents. If you have an understanding of homelessness, believe that people can be successful in society despite the odds being stacked against them, and are supportive and caring whilst maintaining a calm, professional and flexible attitude, this could be the career for you.
