Housing Officer (temp: Hillingdon- CAR DRIVER) is an ongoing temporary post for a Generic Housing Officer with own vehicle. The role covers a patch across Greater London (including Hillingdon, Slough, St Albans and parts of Essex) from a home-based setup with weekly attendance at the client’s office in Staines. The post holder will manage approximately 120 units, including leasehold and general needs homes, and will seek solutions for all customers with the ability to think independently and creatively. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and information to tenants, residents and others on all tenancy matters, welfare benefits and re-housing requests.
- Assist tenants with support needs to sustain and benefit from their tenancy.
- Assist the Head of Property to achieve void turnaround targets for repair works and manage the pre-void and lettings process.

- Assist in taking legal action to enforce tenancy conditions (e.g., non-payment of rent or other breaches).
- Work with the Head of Housing and Finance to set service charges for properties within the designated area and consult with tenants on changes where applicable.
- Carry out Estate Inspections, monitor cleaning, grounds maintenance, repairs and maintenance; liaise with colleagues to improve the environment and tenancy conditions.
- Assist the Head of Property and others in identifying, reporting and monitoring repairs and maintenance within the designated patch.
