Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – London Local Authority – Hybrid – Full Time

Venn Group is working with a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority in London in their search for a Housing Litigation Lawyer with a focus on Anti-Social Behaviour on a locum basis for an initial 3-month role.

Details:

  • Job Title: Housing Lawyer (Anti-Social Behaviour)
  • Hourly Rate: Up to £55 umbrella per hour (depending on experience) – flexible for the right candidate
  • Length of Contract: 3 months initially with high possibility for further extension
  • Working Pattern: Full-time – 36 hours per week
  • Location: Local Authority in London
  • Office Attendance: 1 day per week required – remote working considered
Responsibilities
  • Preparing and conducting legal proceedings relating to housing and tenancy enforcement
  • Advising officers and stakeholders on housing litigation and anti-social behaviour matters
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, notices, and court pleadings
  • Working closely with housing officers, enforcement teams, and external stakeholders to deliver effective case outcomes
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong knowledge of housing and anti-social behaviour law within a local authority setting
  • Experience managing a caseload of litigation matters, including possession claims and injunctions
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with internal teams
  • Previous local government experience
