Housekeeping Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team responsible for cleaning, waste management, minor repairs, event set‑ups, and laundry services across school and commercial operations.
  • Recruit staff, train, and supervise; organise rotas and schedules.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance; maintain up-to-date COSHH documentation.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and payroll; monitor staff performance.
  • Provide ongoing training; arrange additional cover during holidays.
  • Oversee maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Liaise with HR on staffing matters; negotiate with suppliers for best value.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to coordinate housekeeping support for events and residential lettings.
