  • Complete daily checks in changing rooms and coffee areas.

Job description

We are now seeking a motivated and committed Housekeeper with excellent time management skills to join our team in Trafford theatres to coordinate all support services within the theatre department as part of the theatre team to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable department.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that maintenance schedules are adhered to and that the department conforms to Health and Safety standards using policy and risk assessment.
  • Work in collaboration with other theatre practitioners and domestic staff to ensure a safe, clean, and organised clinical environment and supervise the domestic staff ensuring that they are cleaning to a high standard.
  • Ordering of stores and equipment, and coordination of stock levels.
  • Assist with the patient experience tracker and continuous quality improvement work.
  • Spot cleaning and ensuring spillages are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
  • Ensure equipment is in a clean, serviced, and available for immediate use.
  • Maintain theatre appearance (remove clutter, dirty cups, tidy notice boards and leaflet rack, signage, and move light furniture).
  • Liaise with other departments as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain cleaning schedules for non-clinical items such as drip stands.
  • Complete daily checks of the changing rooms.
  • Perform daily checks of the staff coffee room, refrigerator and area to ensure cleaning is in place and tidy.
  • Attend service meetings on behalf of the Theatre department and cascade information to the theatre leads when necessary.
  • Serve as the safety champion for the department and ensure correct checks are completed.
