Overview

Job Title: Housekeeper

We are looking for a Housekeeper to join a well-established company and a dedicated team. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while developing your career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out and supervise daily cleaning tasks across resident rooms, communal areas, and offices, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Manage and oversee a team of domestics and laundry assistants, delegating tasks and ensuring high standards.
  • Handle waste management, including emptying ashtrays and bins, and maintaining orderly furniture and equipment.
  • Replenish disposable supplies such as toilet rolls, soap, and paper towels, while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Collect cleaning materials from the Home’s storeroom and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment, promptly reporting faults or hazards.
  • Follow company quality procedures and accurately report any non-conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and fire precautions.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to support cleanliness and hygiene standards across the facility.
  • Foster a welcoming, homely, and friendly atmosphere for residents and visitors.
