Job summary

A community-based hospice is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors and manage inquiries. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to provide effective administration support, and an understanding of sensitive situations. Candidates should have GCSE level education including English and Maths, along with experience in an administrative role. The position offers £24,761 annually, with flexibility for part-time hours.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Experience working in an administrative role.
  • Ability to compile and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome staff, patients, and visitors in a friendly manner.
  • Act as first point of contact for anyone accessing the hospice.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls and contacts professionally.
  • Provide administration support to all teams within the hospice.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
