Job summary

A community-focused housing organization in Wales is seeking a Home Engagement Project Officer to develop a Home Conditions service for residents in Torfaen. Qualifications

Overview

Bron Afon Community Housing has secured funding from the Housing Support Grant for a Home Engagement Project Officer. We are looking for a motivated individual to develop and deliver a Home Conditions service that is open and inclusive, actively engaging with and involving all residents of Torfaen aged 18+ with identified property condition concerns. The project aims to provide a comprehensive needs-led service that enables customers to remain in their home and live an independent, full and varied life.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with residents and contribute to delivering a responsive Home Conditions service.
  • Support customers to identify needs and access appropriate assistance to maintain independence at home.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Experienced in providing support.
  • Passionate about supporting others and making a difference to people’s lives.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise to manage a busy workload.
  • Able to work effectively & efficiently under pressure, both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of providing 1:1 support to customers who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
  • Experience working with people in a trauma-informed way, using a variety of interventions to identify needs and achieve positive outcomes.
