A specialist education agency is seeking a dedicated Home Tutor to provide tailored support to students out of school. This role requires a qualified teacher with QTS and experience with children displaying diverse educational needs. The tutor will create customized lesson plans and closely monitor student progress. Smart Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Home Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils out of school. We are looking for a tutor with experience supporting young people who display a range of additional needs or challenging behaviours.
The ideal candidate will bring a toolkit of strategies and resources to engage learners effectively, build positive relationships, and create a supportive learning environment tailored to the student's individual needs. A flexible, patient, and nurturing approach is essential to help the student re-engage with education and thrive.
Tutoring takes place in a home environment, which may include the family residence or a residential setting for Looked After Children (LAC). You will work on a one-to-one basis with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying educational needs. Learners may range in age from Key Stage 1 through to further education, depending on your areas of expertise and experience.
Design customised lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and meet each student's unique learning requirements.
Create a supportive, engaging, and motivating learning environment to encourage student success.
Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with disengaged young people or looked after children
