Home Manager - Elderly & Dementia Care

Location: Hastings area, St Leonards-on-Sea

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per Annum (DOE)

Contract: Full Time | Boutique Family-Run Nursing Home

We are delighted to be partnering with a warm and welcoming family-run care provider in their search for a dedicated and inspirational Home Manager to lead their well-regarded elderly and dementia care home in St Leonards-on-Sea, near Hastings.

This is a rare opportunity to join a close-knit team where you will have the autonomy to shape and nurture a homely, person-centred environment while benefiting from the support of a highly engaged family ownership team.

Our client is seeking a confident, compassionate leader who can build on a strong existing foundation, ensuring the home continues to deliver exceptional care and compliance standards while fostering a positive culture for staff and residents alike.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the home to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with elderly and dementia needs.

Safeguard and continuously improve compliance with CQC standards and guidelines.

Work with the leadership team to maintain a positive, supportive culture for both staff and residents.

Oversee operational activities, including budget management, occupancy targets, and resource planning.

Engage with families and external stakeholders to maintain open communication and high service standards.

Qualifications
  • Key Skills:
  • Nurse-qualified (RGN / RMN / RNLD) - desirable but not essential
  • Relevant management qualification - NVQ5 or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience managing a nursing or residential care home
  • Sound understanding of CQC standards and guidelines
  • Passionate about person-centred care and empowering teams
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and occupancy
  • Approachable, proactive, and resilient with excellent communication skills
