Overview

Job Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, particularly in assisted living and senior care environments. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and task focused activities supporting service users to stay in their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
  • Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure client safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
Skills and requirements
  • Proven experience in patient care, preferably within a senior care or assisted living setting.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for commuting between clients home.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including alternative weekends and bank holidays.
