The School:
Simply Education is currently working in partnership with an SEMH Secondary School in Stockport currently seeking a HLTA. This SEMH setting provides bespoke learning opportunities for young people aged 11-16 with Autism with associated social and communication needs, trauma and attachment. The classes are small with no more than 6 students at any time; the school focuses on changing students’ mindset and giving their students all the tools to be successful in their future.
The HLTA role:
The School are looking for a SEND HLTA with experience of working in a SEN or SEMH setting. Due to location, a full, clean driving license with own transport is essential.
Responsibilities of a HLTA:
Delivering lessons to small classes of around 4-6 students
Building rapport with young people, other support staff and parents
Using computer software; must have strong ICT skills
Promoting equal opportunities and ensuring the safety of all students
Attending regular CPD sessions
Delivering targeted SEND learning interventions
