Overview

Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Primary Cover Supervisor (CS) seeking a new challenge? Are you looking for the chance to make a difference in a supportive, primary school environment in a lovely area of Wakefield?

Trust Education are working with welcoming and community-focused primary schools in Wakefield, offering exciting flexible opportunities for a HLTA / CS to join their dedicated teams as soon as possible. Initially you will carry out day-to-day work before committing to a longer term assignment with the schools. These roles are ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing setting and is passionate about supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary age range.
  • Working with class teachers and support staff to raise pupil attainment and engagement within all lessons.
  • Providing targeted support for children of mixed abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
  • Building strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a HLTA within UK primary schools.
  • Confident understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
