Job description
A Vacancy at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

We’re looking for a Highly Specialist Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapist to join our friendly CYPOT team in the Inner North West London Division of CLCH.

This role is based at Woodlane High School, where you’ll support students five days a week during school hours.

You’ll use a Three‑tiered model – Universal, Targeted and Specialist – to help weave occupational therapy into everyday school life so students can take part, feel confident and succeed.

You’ll be working closely with the school’s therapy team, senior leadership and teaching staff. Together, you’ll help create an environment where children and young people feel included, supported and empowered.

  • Offer a service that is truly inclusive, recognising and valuing the diverse backgrounds, identities and needs of every child and young person.
  • Provide a high‑quality occupational therapy service for students with a wide range of strengths, needs and diagnoses that affect their daily activities.
  • Carry out assessments that help you understand what each young person’s occupational therapy needs are.
  • Work together with students, families and school staff to set meaningful goals and create supportive, practical therapy plans.
  • Help young people build confidence and independence in the things they need and want to do every day.
  • Offer guidance on postural and seating needs to help students stay comfortable and well‑supported in their learning.
  • Show accountability by keeping high standards in all areas of your practice.

Just as we care about our patients’ well‑being, we care about yours!

We can offer you:
  • A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role.
  • Car lease scheme (only available for Band 5 and up).
  • Flexible working options.
  • Annual travel card loan.
  • Training, support and development in your career.
