We’re looking for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Thirsk. This is a rewarding opportunity to take on a key role within the classroom, supporting learning and leading lessons when required.

What you’ll be doing
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and covering classes when needed
  • Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
  • Working with small groups and individuals to boost progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Using consistent, nurturing behaviour strategies
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, SEN staff and school leaders
  • Contributing to whole-school life and development
