Are you passionate about outdoor learning, nurturing young minds and championing children? We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our community-focused and thriving rural primary school. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who believes that nature, imagination and nurturing support can transform the way children learn.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engaging Forest School sessions that encourage curiosity, resilience, and teamwork in our natural rural setting.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver exciting, meaningful learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
  • Provide warm, proactive pastoral support, ensuring children feel nurtured, heard and ready to succeed.
  • Cover classes as required, ensuring consistency and high-quality learning.
  • Embody and promote the values of NEST throughout daily school life.
Qualifications
  • Hold HLTA status (as a school, we are able to support in undertaking this training for the right candidate).
  • Have Forest School training or are keen to undertake it.
  • Are passionate about outdoor learning and understand the benefits of a rural learning environment.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach to behaviour support.
  • Are committed to teamwork, collaboration, and supporting every child to thrive.
  • Bring creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm to all aspects of your role.
