We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for our purpose built state‑of‑the‑art school catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's and Speech, Language and Communication needs.

We want someone with a natural person‑centred approach who is resilient, dedicated and able to help children learn, develop abilities and raise self‑esteem.

  • Support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  • Help them learn, develop their abilities and raise self‑esteem.
  • Work with teachers to devise complementary learning activities.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and independent sessions.
Qualifications
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 and a HLTA qualification, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children and the ability to plan meetings, work without supervision and liaise with teachers.
