A specialist education provider is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support engaging lessons and promote student independence. The ideal candidate will possess HLTA status and experience in an SEN/ASC setting. Key responsibilities include leading lessons and maintaining a strong safeguarding culture. Job Title: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB
Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per annum dependent on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: October 2025

As part of our ongoing 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, you may work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while still receiving full-time pay, subject to probationary conditions. Some schools have already implemented 4DWW and others are preparing to roll it out.

Baston House School is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 with Autism (ASC). We aim to create a nurturing environment where pupils feel heard, supported and inspired to thrive.
