Qualifications

• Qualification in Heavy Goods Maintenance or relevant experience.
• Experience motivating and supervising a team.
• Strong understanding of routine trailer repairs & servicing.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis.
• Experience preparing trailers for MOT testing.

Overview

HGV Technician Supervisor role in Coventry for a nationwide fleet management business. Salary £65,000+ with 1.5x overtime. Nights 6pm–6am, 4 on 4 off. State-of-the-art site. Role leads a small team while working on the tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of up to 4 HGV Technicians; mentor and motivate the team
• Work hands-on on tools as required to maintain service levels
• Maintain and repair a fleet of trailers for a major logistics company
• Ensure safety and compliance, conduct routine trailer servicing and repairs
• Prepare trailers for MOT testing

Requirements

• Qualification in Heavy Goods Maintenance or relevant experience
• Experience motivating and supervising a team
• Strong understanding of routine trailer repairs & servicing
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis
• Experience preparing trailers for MOT testing
• Have own basic tools; larger equipment provided on site
• Exposure to welding and metal working

Package

• £65,000+ earnings (including shift allowance & bonus)
• £2,000 welcome bonus

• 4 on 4 off pattern, 6am to 6pm
