HGV Technician - Nights - Inverness

Overview

Monday to Thursday - 2100hrs to 0715hrs. Earnings 45k to 70k. £1,000 signing bonus payable after 6 months service. Opportunities for overtime at time and a half or double time. Join our Inverness team with a great work/life balance covering 4 nights.

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGVs or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?

Who are you?
  • Qualified HGV Technician holds NVQ Level 3 in HGV (apprenticeship or City & Guilds) with proven hands-on workshop experience
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and coach others
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • Organised and proactive approach, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
What will you do

The Role – some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process
  • Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well-maintained
  • Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
