Overview

HGV Technician - Nights

Location: Northwich, Cheshire

Hours: Full-Time | Night Shift (Tuesday-Friday, approx. 6pm-6am)

Salary: Up to £23ph

We are representing a well-established commercial vehicle business in Cheshire that is looking for an experienced Night Technician to join their team. This is a stable, long-term position offering excellent earning potential and the chance to work with modern equipment in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, inspections, and repairs on a range of commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
  • Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop environment
  • Report progress and highlight issues to the Workshop Manager
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when required
Candidate Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently during unsupervised night shifts
  • Broad experience across different vehicle types and brands
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
Desirable but not essential
  • HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2)
