Job summary

A transportation solutions firm in Ellington is seeking an HGV Technician to maintain their fleet. The role involves conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification and a full UK driving licence. Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a HGV Mechanic is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with fault finding and vehicle servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing required work.
  • Carry out services, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs.
  • Maintain workplace safety and equipment longevity.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on a varied fleet of HGV’s

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a HGV Mechanic with a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification. We are seeking someone who can work independently and work well within a team.

Main Responsibilities

Working on the Mick George Group fleet of HGV’s you will complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing any required work. Carry out services, maintenance and repairs to the vehicles to a high standard. Prepare the vehicles for MOT’s.

Liaising with the Commercial Workshop Manager to ensure parts are orders and delivered within a timely manner. Taking responsibility for work load with maximum efficiency. Maintaining the working environment to ensure workplace safety and equipment longevity. Complete all required paperwork for all work carried out on the HGV.

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification
  • Full UK drivers licence
