Job summary

A transportation company is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Cambridgeshire. Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing required work.
• Carry out services, maintenance, and repairs to vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs.
• Liaise with the Commercial Workshop Manager for parts ordering.

Here at the Mick George Group we are currently recruiting a HGV Technician to join the team.

Location

Ellington - Woodhatch Farm, Thrapston Road, Brampton, PE28 4NJ

Pay and Benefits

Pay: up to GBP24 per hour, plus bonus to be discussed at interview

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a HGV Technician with a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification. We are seeking someone who can work independently and work well within a team.

Main Responsibilities

• Work on the Mick George Group fleet of HGVs to complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing required work.
• Carry out services, maintenance and repairs to the vehicles to a high standard.
• Prepare the vehicles for MOTs.
• Liaise with the Commercial Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
• Take responsibility for workload with maximum efficiency.
• Maintain the working environment to ensure workplace safety and equipment longevity.
• Complete all required paperwork for all work carried out on the HGV.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on a varied fleet of HGVs
• Ability to diagnose problems effectively and carry out necessary repairs
• To service vehicles in line with manufacturers recommendations to main dealer standard
• Fault finding using electrical diagnostic equipment
• Excellent communication skills
