Job summary

A leading commercial vehicle maintenance company in Bishop Auckland seeks an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their state-of-the-art workshop. The successful candidate will perform vehicle inspections, general servicing, and repairs, including engine and gearbox work. A full driving licence is required, and a commercial licence is a plus. This role offers a competitive salary between £45,000 and £55,000 with work hours from 7:30am to 4pm or 9:30am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Mechanic certification.
• Full driving licence required; commercial licence beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and general servicing.
• Correct and repair vehicle defects.
• Conduct engine and gearbox repairs and overhauls.
• Prepare and present vehicles for MOT.
• Complete all required paperwork.

Position: HGV Mechanic
Location: Bishop Auckland

My client, a well-established commercial vehicle repair and maintenance specialist is actively seeking to employ a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic for their purpose built, state of the art workshop facility.

HGV Mechanic general duties include:

• Vehicle Inspections
• General Servicing
• Correction / repair of vehicle defects
• Engine / Gearbox repairs & overhauls
• MOT Preparation / Presentation
• Completion of all required paperwork

The successful candidate must be a fully qualified HGV Mechanic (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent). A full driving licence is a must for this role; a commercial licence (Either Class 1 or 2) would be beneficial but not essential.
