Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Driver - Nights to join our transport team at Florette in Lichfield.

Your main role will be to deliver company products to our customers in a professional, safe and timely manner. We have just taken delivery of a brand new fleet of vehicles, including a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle, which we're looking to fill with high-quality drivers with outstanding skills. You'll adhere to Working Time Directive and you will deliver our "unfloretteable" products to major retail distribution centre's across the UK, ensuring all safety aspects and considerations are met at all times. We have multiple night positions available, working on a 12 hour, 4-on, 4-off, shift pattern.

Working hours: 4 on, 4 off. 12 hour shift, Nights

Pay: £41,689 per annum

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that company products are delivered in a professional manner, delivering to major RDC's with some multidrop involved.
  • To comply with the rules on working time as specified in the "Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations" and be responsible for ensuring all safety aspects are met.
  • Where necessary you will be required to carry out other duties within the warehouse & distribution department, light clean work (palletised salad).
  • To safely drive our vehicles, complying with all driving laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road‑worthy and do not pose a threat to other road‑users.
  • Abide by customers' rules and regulations whilst on site, be an ambassador for Agrial.
  • To work effectively and professionally to the company standards, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Over 2 years' experience of driving HGV vehicles on UK roads.
  • Valid Full HGV Class 1 licence.
  • Driver CPC qualification card.

Under the well‑known Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre‑packed, ready‑to‑eat, fresh salad bags and bowls to some of the UK’s most well‑known supermarkets and retailers, as well as your favourite restaurants and fast food vendors. In total, we sell on average around 600,000kg of products every week – an unbe‑leaf‑able amount!
