Job Details

Job Title: HGV Driver - Class 1

Location: Thetford IP24 3QS

Hours per week: 46 Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday (alternate weeks).

Salary: £37,597 per annum plus shift allowance where applicable (if starting before 4am).

Job Purpose

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • To deliver assembled orders to our customer base in the East of England to a set delivery schedule, accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure safe manual handling techniques are used and correct use of MHE appropriate to the role. Working alongside and within a team environment.
  • Responsible for always working in a safe manner in accordance with road transport law, drivers hours regulations and Health & Safety regulations
  • Driving in a safe and fuel efficient manner at all times. Working to and complying with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedure
  • Working to operational key performance indicators and as an individual / team member work to address any shortfalls. Working within a physically demanding environment.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's HGV (C or C+E) licence, Driver's CPC and Digi Card
  • Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles; arctics and rigids
  • Good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom.
  • Sound knowledge of tachograph regulations and WTD
  • Sound knowledge of tachograph manual entries
  • Ability to work with and towards company Microlise scoring standards
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
  • Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
  • Ability to adhere to reporting procedures and safe systems of work
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and all other requirements of the role
