EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We have a new opportunity to join Severn Trent’s Waste Customer Networks team covering the Leicestershire region. This team is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, improvements, and repair of our waste network.

The HGV City Flex Operative role requires working in a two-person team. You’ll be responsible for resolving various issues and providing excellent service to our customers when they need you most. You’ll work within communities, focusing on resolving issues such as blocked sewers, using vacuum, jetting, and blockage clearing equipment. The role involves shift work, including weekends and evenings on a rotating schedule.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out CCTV surveys of drainage systems to maintain, diagnose, and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Liaising with departments like control centre, operations, and maintenance.
  • Working within confined spaces and at heights.
  • Operating your vehicle in compliance with road transport legislation and company policies.
  • Maintaining vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition internally and externally.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Class 2 or Class 1 license is required.
  • A passion for doing quality, right-first-time work, with good attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability and desire to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving interest.
