We are currently recruiting reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Sidcup. This is a Monday to Friday role, offering consistent work with occasional nights out, delivering a variety of loads to customer sites across the UK.

This position is ideal for an experienced Class 1 driver who takes pride in safe driving, punctual deliveries, and excellent customer service.

Pay & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods between locations
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques
• Ensure all loads are correctly secured, with particular attention to flatbed securement
• Comply with all road traffic laws, tachograph rules, and company policies
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and housekeeping
• Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
• Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a Class 1 driver or in a similar driving role
• Good working knowledge of flatbed operations and load restraint techniques
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
• Strong understanding of UK traffic laws and driver regulations
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading duties
