Heritage Tourism Assistant (Navigation House)

Part-time (9 Hours) – Permanent, Every Monday and every other weekend

A2 - £26,403 - £28,142 Per Annum, Pro Rata

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Visitor Venues team; This post puts you at the heart of a dynamic department which is critical in the promotion & delivery of the Council’s heritage services.

Job Requirements:

  • A strong interest in heritage, museums, or tourism
  • Experience in a customer-facing or public engagement role
  • Ability to manage volunteers and work independently (including lone working)
  • Reliable, well-organised, and comfortable handling cash
  • Flexible and proactive, with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the site during public hours
  • Welcome and engage with visitors to enhance their experience
  • Manage online and phone bookings
  • Oversee the cottage’s artefact collection in line with required standards
  • Operate financial systems
  • Plan and deliver public events and activities
  • Co-ordinate with volunteers and work closely with the Visitor Venues Team Leader
  • Ensure safe, smooth, and high-quality site operation
