Heating & Plumbing Engineer (Gas Safe) | Fully Site-Based Role | Performance Bonus

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Gas Safe registered Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join a well-established fully site-based Engineering team within a prestigious estate environment.

This is not a mobile or contract role — it is a permanent, on-site position offering long-term stability, excellent facilities, and a performance-related bonus on top of base salary.

This role is ideal for an engineer who prefers to work from one fixed location, building long-term familiarity with complex systems, while being part of a professional, close-knit engineering function.

The Role

The Heating & Plumbing Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of all heating and plumbing systems across the estate. The role combines planned preventative maintenance with reactive and emergency response, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and reliable at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all heating and plumbing systems
  • Respond promptly and professionally to breakdowns and emergency repairs
  • Install, service and repair boilers, heating systems, radiators, valves, underfloor heating and domestic hot water systems
  • Diagnose and fault‑find across a wide range of domestic and commercial systems
  • Oversee subcontractors during new installations and specialist works
  • Support estate‑wide infrastructure including water treatment, pumps and drainage systems
  • Carry out flushing and chemical treatment of heating and hot water systems where required
  • Ensure all works comply with current building regulations and health & safety standards
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records through the CMMS system
  • Provide flexible engineering support across the wider on‑site team when required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar heating and plumbing role
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
  • Comfortable with physical work, confined spaces and independent sourcing of parts
  • Gas Safe registered with valid certifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Unvented hot water systems qualification (G3)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
