Are you compassionate, motivated, and ready to support high‑quality care in a specialist clinical environment? We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our Sexual Health and Contraception Team within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. In this rewarding role, you will support our multidisciplinary team, working under the supervision of registered nurses and alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and patient‑centred care.

What You’ll Do
  • Support patients attending the clinic, ensuring they are guided smoothly through the care pathway.
  • Chaperone doctors and nurses during clinical procedures, including coil fittings, perform venepuncture and light microscopy for the diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections.
  • Process clinical specimens accurately and in line with service protocols.
  • Manage asymptomatic patients, through the service, for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
  • Maintain clinical rooms by ensuring materials and equipment are well stocked, organised, and compliant with infection prevention standards.
  • Use your initiative to support the day‑to‑day running of the service and contribute to a positive patient experience. A compassionate and patient‑focused approach.

£24,937 to £26,598 a year. Please note for part time hours the salary will be pro‑rata.
