Job description
Overview

This fixed term/secondment position is for 18 months. The post holder will act as the Laboratory Lead for Hywel Dda University Health Board Blood Science Service at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and quality of the work within the Blood Science team at Prince Philip Hospital. They will provide expert advice and guidance to operational managers, site managers and other senior staff to ensure the maintenance of the Blood Science service.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical leads to manage risks to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field to enable opportunities for quality improvement and to ensure an efficient and effective service.
  • Demonstrate effective organisational and communication skills and the ability to work and manage a team efficiently.
Desirable/Qualifications
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
