Role Overview

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to work on Ward 9 Care Of The Older Adult at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

You will be working closely with our new Frailty SDEC (Same Day Emergency Centre).

This role supports ward teams by helping patients with everyday care such as washing, eating, drinking and using the toilet. Please see Main duties of the job section for full details.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ward teams by helping patients with everyday care such as washing, eating, drinking and using the toilet.
• Check and record basic health observations and report any concerns to a nurse.
• Help keep patients safe and comfortable by moving them correctly, keeping the ward tidy and preparing equipment.
• Support nurses with simple administrative tasks like updating records and answering the phone.
• Follow training, work within Trust policies and communicate kindly with patients, families and staff.
• Manage your own tasks during each shift and help create a calm, clean and supportive environment.
