An educational institution in Leicester is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant to support the School Nurses in providing nursing and first aid services to pupils. This role includes responsibilities such as first aid, medication administration, and maintaining medical records. A caring attitude and a current first aid certificate are essential. The position works 20 hours a week during term-time, Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Leicester Grammar Junior School is looking for a caring, organised and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team as soon as possible. This part-time, term-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Trust School Nurses in delivering a high-quality, clinically effective nursing and first aid service to pupils, as well as providing first aid support to staff and visitors within our school community.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Schools first aid room. Responsibilities will include providing first aid, assisting with the safe administration of medication in line with Trust policies, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, and carrying out a range of clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the service. Prior experience in a similar role is not essential.
The Healthcare Assistant will be working 20 hours per week, during term-time, including staff INSET days (35 weeks). The hours of work are Monday - Friday, 10:00am-2:00pm.
