This is a position for a Healthcare Assistant to work in a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. The service emphasizes positive risk taking, self-reliance, and building trust and self-esteem. You will be part of a supportive team in a culture built on kindness and teamwork.

Overview

The role involves providing care and support to residents with a focus on compassionate, person-centred care within a challenging but rewarding environment.

Main duties / Responsibilities

• Join an inclusive and supportive team that provides care to people with a range of mental health conditions.
• Conduct ward rounds, analyze behaviours, and adapt care accordingly in collaboration with colleagues.
• Update patient records and provide overall care and support, including assisting with personal hygiene as required.
• Maintain a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance to navigate a demanding environment, with the aim of enabling patients to improve and gain independence.

Where you will be working

Location: Chesterfield Road, Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 7DT. You will be working at Field House and Apartments – a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. The service blends traditional rehabilitation with single and dual occupancy apartments to support a seamless care pathway. There is a strong emphasis on positive risk-taking to promote self-reliance, trust, and self-esteem, with a focus on psychological input.
