Permanent | Leading Tier 1 Contractor

We're recruiting for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join a major infrastructure project in South Wales. This is a key leadership position, responsible for driving a positive safety culture, supporting project leadership, and ensuring full compliance across a complex, high-risk environment.

The Role
  • Provide strong H&S leadership across the project, ensuring best practice and compliance.
  • Support Directors, Managers and Supervisors in meeting their H&S responsibilities.
  • Lead site inspections, audits, and safety surveillance, identifying improvements.
  • Oversee incident/accident investigations and ensure lessons learned are implemented.
  • Manage H&S reporting, data analysis, KPIs and continuous improvement plans.
  • Review and contribute to H&S plans, RAMS and procedures.
  • Ensure contractor compliance and stop work where safety is compromised.
  • Lead inductions, training, safety campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a senior H&S role within major civils or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership capability and confidence influencing site teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of H&S legislation, procedures and auditing.
  • Experience managing advisors and working with Tier 1 contractors.
