Health & Safety Officer

Are you passionate about creating a safe and supportive workplace? Our client is looking for a proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our team and play a key role in protecting and supporting our people.

What You’ll Do

As a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our policies and practices not only meet legal obligations but also promote the well-being of their workforce. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Advising and guiding managers, supervisors, and employees on health & safety matters.
  • Conducting risk assessments, inspections, and investigations, ensuring timely action planning.
  • Leading internal audits and supporting external audit processes.
  • Developing and implementing H&S policies in line with legislation.
  • Delivering in-house training and coordinating external training sessions.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
What We’re Looking For

Seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and confident person adept to in driving high standards.

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Relevant training qualification.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role (or strong demonstrable knowledge).
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Full driving licence / access to transport.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet business needs.

Desirable:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience within the food industry.
