A leading healthcare provider in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated team member to provide quality care in the endoscopy pathway. You will join a dynamic team and must have excellent communication skills and a commitment to high standards of patient-centered care. Flexibility is essential to work various shifts, including out-of-hours on-call services. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals.
If you are looking for a new challenge, come and join our growing team providing quality care for patients across the whole endoscopy pathway including pre, peri and post endoscopic procedural care. Endoscopy is a constantly evolving area delivering a wide range of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy and is the centre for the Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
You will be part of a large and dynamic team that includes a team of Nurse Endoscopists, Gastroenterology Consultants, Colorectal/Upper Surgical Consultants, a number of senior doctors and a large nursing and HCSW team. You will need to be a hardworking and a motivated team player committed to delivering high standards of patient centred care with excellent communication skills, a flexible attitude and you will need to demonstrate a commitment to your own personal development.
The successful applicant will ideally have a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute setting. While previous endoscopy experience may be advantageous it is not essential as we provide training and competency assessment. You will need to be flexible to work a range of shifts and take part in out-of-hours on-call service when competent.
Please note that we do not offer sponsorship for this role. This post is based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital but there may be requirement to work across sites at Poole and Wimborne. This means some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or long term. If the role or service is relocated, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the postholder's home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Any other changes not related to this relocation will be managed according to the relevant Trust or National terms and condition.
