Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Outpatient Department at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool, Aintree and Paddington sites. Applications are welcome from flexible, enthusiastic and motivated individuals. Excellent communication skills are essential and phlebotomy experience is desired.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses, clinicians and members of the Multi‑Disciplinary Team within the Outpatient Department.
  • Support a wide variety of clinical teams and activities within the department including endoscope, ECG, phlebotomy, PICC & Port access and care, SACT assessment clinics, providing a varied working day with daily learning opportunities.
  • Clerical duties; providing hands‑on care, assistance and emotional support to patients and their relatives; performing phlebotomy, PICC and Port access and care; assisting the clinicians with endoscopic procedures, cleaning, safe handling and storage of the endoscopes; observations, urinalysis, BM recording, ECG recording; preparing for clinics and maintaining high standards of documentation and record keeping.
