To work as a member of the healthcare team, in the delivery of healthcare that is safe and caring; locally engaged; efficient and innovative. To provide high quality, patient centred care under the supervision of qualified staff. Undertake all training and development courses deemed appropriate for the role as specified by Trust policy and procedure.
Recognise own level of competence and limitations to ensure safe practice.
Adhere to the Trust's uniform policy.
Actively participate in the Trust's appraisal system.
Support nurses and healthcare professionals in assisting patients in maintaining their personal hygiene needs prescribed in their individual plan of care (e.g. washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, care of nails, hair care etc).
Support and observe the patient, reporting to the registered nurse/healthcare professional any changes that might affect the patients' health and well-being.
