Health & Social Care Teacher (FE) — Darlington

Start: Immediate (September 2025)

Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Provider: Further Education College

Pay: £20 - £32.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Deliver Health & Social Care programmes at Levels 1-3 (classroom and tutorials).
• Plan high-quality schemes of work, lessons, and assessments aligned to awarding-body requirements.
• Mark, moderate, and track learner progress; implement timely interventions.
• Support learners with UCAS/apprenticeship/employment pathways.
• Uphold safeguarding, inclusive practice, and college policies.

About You

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/CertEd/DTLLS); QTLS advantageous.
• Recent FE experience delivering Health & Social Care at Levels 1-3.
• Strong assessment practice and data tracking.
• Up-to-date industry knowledge; experience with awarding bodies (e.g., BTEC/CACHE) is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) and full Right to Work in the UK.
