Health & Safety Manager
Location – Newport

Salary 45,000

Hours – Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (08:00 – 17:30, rota–based)

About the Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you'll be the go–to person for all matters relating to workplace safety, reporting directly to the General Manager. You'll drive continuous improvement by:

  • Developing and implementing health & safety policies and procedures

  • Carrying out audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Delivering training and coaching to staff at all levels

  • Investigating and reporting on incidents and accidents

  • Working closely with department heads to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of recent, relevant experience in Health & Safety management

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential

  • NEBOSH National Fire Certificate in Fire Safety & Fire Safety Management

  • COSHH training and practical application experience

  • Proven expertise in fire risk assessments and incident investigations

  • Strong track record of advising managers, implementing policies, and leading training sessions

  • Up–to–date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
