Location: Addlestone, Surrey
Salary: £33,075 - £50,471 per year (MPS/UPS + TLR)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

This dynamic and high-achieving secondary school in Addlestone, Surrey is looking for a passionate and dedicated Head of Year to join our pastoral leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher to take on a key pastoral role, supporting students' academic progress, personal development, and well-being.

The Role

As Head of Year, you will be responsible for the pastoral care, behavior management, and academic progress of a specific year group. You will work closely with staff, students, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. This position is open to teachers of any subject specialism, who are committed to making a difference in young people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a year group, fostering a positive school culture
  2. Monitor and support students’ academic progress and well-being
  3. Work closely with tutors, teachers, and senior leaders to implement pastoral strategies
  4. Promote high expectations of behavior, attendance, and achievement
