Head of Technical

This is a successful and dynamic business that produces high-end products for leading UK supermarkets and food manufacturers.

About the Head of Technical job

As a customer focused head of department, you will be responsible for the food safety and legality of manufactured products and compliance to customer codes of practice and industry guidelines.

Key tasks

• Responsible for all company technical teams.
• Responsible for ensuring site standards comply with customer expectations.
• Ensure the departmental managers have agreed KPI’s and ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with the other team members to deliver the business objectives.
• Support good health and safety working practices in the department.

About You

You will need to be well-experienced within a technical capacity in food manufacturing. In addition :

• Excellent team and people management skills and experience.
• Experience of dealing with UK retailers and BRC standards and audits.
• Degree educated with HACCP and Food Safety Level 4.
• A proven track record of continuous improvement and implementation.

The site is based in Berkshire and is commutable from areas of Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
