Overview

Head of Supply Chain - 18 months Interim (potential for perm) | Tyne & Wear

For a well-established global leader in offshore engineering projects delivery, we are recruiting a Head of Supply Chain (initial Interim contract, potential to permanent).

Responsibilities
  • The Head of Supply Chain will drive an efficient supply chain strategy, fostering a strong culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement across procurement, inventory management and supplier relationships.
  • Through strategic procurement, efficient negotiations of framework agreements and strong supplier relationships, you will engage your team to play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s offshore EPCI projects.
  • The Head of Supply Chain will work very closely with Project Management, Engineering and Construction teams to ensure supply chain is a key component of project schedules.
Candidate profile
  • With a degree in Engineering or Business, you have gained substantial experience of global project buying in engineering services or project-led environments (e.g. EPCI, energy, oil and gas etc).
  • CIPS qualified, you have led efficient supply chain teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment (e.g. offshore engineering, procurement, and construction processes).
  • With second-to-none commercial acumen and attention to detail, above all you have a natural ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced and highly rewarding environment.
