Interim Head of Marketing (12-Month Contract) with well-established Membership Association
Location: Hybrid - London, 2-3 days from their Blackfriars office.
Contract: Interim, 12 months FTC
Our client is one of the UK's largest membership organisations, with over 400,000 members and 1,000+ local groups. Each branch offers opportunities for people in later life to learn, share skills, and connect for fun. At the heart of this movement is the national charity supporting local communities, raising awareness, and championing positive ageing and lifelong learning.
For the first time, our client is recruiting a Head of Marketing and looking for you to create a new dedicated marketing strategy to transform how the organisation engages with members, partners, and the wider public. This newly created interim role is perfect for a commercially minded Marketing Strategist who thrives on building something from the ground up.
You’ll lead the development of the new marketing strategy, shifting the organisation from a communications‑led approach to a marketing‑centric function. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you’ll shape brand positioning, drive audience engagement, and lay the foundations for long‑term awareness raising and membership growth.
This is a unique chance to make a lasting impact on one of the UK's most respected movements. You’ll have the freedom to innovate, influence, and create a marketing blueprint that will shape our client’s future.
Application process: There are three bespoke questions to answer once short‑listed, so there is no need to write a cover letter.
Deadline: 9am, Wednesday, 10th December 2025
Charity People is a forward‑thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
