Responsibilities

  • Work on a range of corporate matters including transactions and corporate governance.
  • Attend and minute all board meetings for the UK holding company.
  • Serve on the Risk Committee, assisting with compliance and governance policies.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage all commercial contracts.
  • Advise on regulatory changes impacting the organisation.

Head of Legal & Company Secretary

A fantastic opportunity to join an impressive, high‑growth and international Fintech that is truly changing the game in the wealth solutions platform space. Due to continued expansion, the business is looking to bring in a hands‑on Corporate Lawyer to step into the role of Head of Legal & Company Secretary.

This is a highly visible and varied role, offering real ownership across legal, governance and compliance on a global scale. You will work closely with senior leadership, attend board meetings, and see the direct impact of your work across the business as it continues to scale internationally. This role will suit a Corporate‑trained lawyer who thrives in fast‑paced, global environments and enjoys building and shaping legal frameworks.

The Role
  • Working on a range of corporate matters, including transactions, corporate governance (and company secretarial matters) and fundraising
  • Attending all board meetings for the UK holding company and taking minutes
  • Serving on the Risk Committee, whilst assisting with the design and implementation of internal compliance and governance policies
  • Drafting, negotiating and managing all commercial contracts across the group
  • Advising the business on regulatory changes impacting the organisation, including horizon scanning
Prior Experience
  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with 6+ years’ PQE
  • Corporate‑trained lawyer with experience building legal entities and strong exposure to transactions, funds and fundraising
  • Currently working within a financial services organisation, or a top law firm supporting financial services clients
  • Experience across company secretarial and governance matters, ideally from owning the function or working closely with it in a current role
